Drew Parker is 30

April 4th Drew enters his third decade. Don't let him tell you differently. This means I have been dating or married to him for half his life. So, I'd like to think I know everything there is to know, but I am guessing there are a few stories out there I haven't heard yet.

In celebration of his birthday, please post your favorite "Drew" story. We all know he likes to tell a good story, so he should enjoy listening to yours.

Happy 30th Birthday Speck! There really are too many stories to choose from...but here's one of my favorites... Picture elementary school age JR and Drew... Drew knocks on the Koch house door. "JR wanna shoot hoops at my house?" JR: "Hoops, sure." JR thinks this is a little weird because JR was usually the one knocking on the door..but it was hoops, so who cares. So, off they go. On the way to Drew's house, Drew seems a little weirder than usual... finally...Drew:"Dude, your dad came around the side of the house when I was waiting for you to answer the door. I had a Playboy in my hand and I had to throw it in the bushes so your Dad wouldn't see it!!" JR: "You're gonna get ME in trouble and I actually didn't do anything this time!! Go get it!" Drew sneaks back to the Koch house...searches, searches, searches, searches. Pretty soon JR sees Drew hauling a$$ down the street. Drew: "It's not there!!!!" JR: "Are you sure you looked everywhere?" Drew: "I think your Dad has it!!" JR:"Why does he have it? Drew: "I think he saw me!" (could have been because Drew chucked the magazine in the bushes RIGHT IN FRONT of my Dad!) What do I do? JR: "Go tell him you're sorry." Drew, slowly this time, makes his way back to the Koch house. Drew: "Sorry Mr. Koch." Mr. Koch: "Thanks for the Playboy...didn't have this issue." (ok...so, maybe that last part was made up).

Hope Jman knows how to hide his magazines better than his old man!

Posting Drew stories seems like a risky invitation, Kate?! :)

One of my favorite Drew stories (although now that I think about it...it seems a little gruesome) was when Drew got his by the motorcycle in Paris.

Another story...Drew had strange ways of trying to impress Kate when they were dating. Kate was using a port-a-potty along the walking trail in East Peoria and Drew started bumping his car into it threatening to push it over! A true romantic.

One last thing...Drew has always walked into our house and headed straight to the fridge or cabinet in search of food...mainly Twizzlers or cereal.

Happy 30th Drew!

I think Drew and I trying to move the football ticket booth off the Quad at the U of I (it had wheels)...once it picked up momentum Drew & I bailed, and some poor random dude who was helping us got run over by the runaway booth. he walked away, so it was all good...I hope.
